Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) is needed in the critical care unit within a healthcare facility located in Marshfield, Wisconsin. This role involves providing specialized respiratory therapy services in inpatient and emergency department settings, with a focus on adult and pediatric patients. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a team of experienced neonatologists and hospitalists.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week, days from 06:30 to 19:00 and nights from 18:30 to 07:00, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA), Basic Life Support (BLS) from the AHA, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). A current Wisconsin State license is preferred, noting it may take 6 to 8 weeks to obtain. A minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience, trauma level 2 or 3 experience, and critical care experience are required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with adult and pediatric patients in inpatient and emergency department settings. Willingness to serve as a first-time traveler or as part of a travel duo is acceptable.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include performing ABGs and CBGs, assisting with intubations (primarily assisting), and providing coverage for the EKG department overnight. The role may involve placing laryngeal airways during code blue situations and working with an in-house team of hospitalists and intensivists 24/7. On-site leadership includes a respiratory therapy system director, manager, supervisor, and shift-specific lead RT.
• Other Details: Clinicians must clock in and out at the facility. No float rotation is required. Scrubs can be any color, with supportive footwear encouraged. The position requires working every third weekend and alternating holidays. Occasionally, off-shift call from 19:00 to 04:00 may be needed, with a response time of 1 hour.
