Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) Mammoth Lakes, California. This full-time role involves providing specialized pediatric respiratory care across a variety of clinical settings, including ventilator management, nebulized medication therapy, and diagnostic procedures. The position offers an opportunity to work in a modern facility in a stunning outdoor setting, with shifts rotating over a 12-hour schedule.
Job Details
- Shift: Rotating, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: College diploma; three years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist; State of California Respiratory Care Practitioner license; American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications; Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification

- Additional Information: Perform all respiratory care services for Geriatric, Adult, Pediatric, and Neonatal patients. Responsibilities include ventilator management, nebulized medication therapy, oxygen therapy, specialty gas administration, chest physiotherapy, aerosol therapy, and quality assurance. Conduct diagnostic procedures such as 12-lead ECGs, simple pulmonary function testing, pulse oximetry, and assist physicians with cardiac stress testing. Capable of performing arterial and capillary punctures to assess oxygenation, acid-base balance, and ventilation efficiency. Collaborate closely with the healthcare team, participate in continuing education, and record patient responses accurately. Ability to assess patients needs and respond accordingly is essential.
