Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) Morgantown, West Virginia. This position involves providing specialized respiratory care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The role includes managing a variety of patient needs, operating advanced ventilators, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients.

Job Details

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Shifts include weekends and holidays as scheduled, with a preference for staffing with 8 RTs per shift to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and PALS (American Heart Association). A minimum of 2 years of experience working in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and/or Level 4 or greater Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ventilator management using Hamilton, Servo, Respironics, and Fisher Paykel devices.
  • Responsibilities: Perform all aspects of respiratory care, including airway management, ventilator operation (e.g., Hamilton, Servo, BiPAP, High Flow), intrahospital transport, and interventions such as cough assist, IPV, NAVA, and use of specific respiratory equipment. Participate in patient assessments like ABGs and EKGs as needed.
  • Additional Information: This role requires the ability to assist with intubations (assist only). The facility provides department-specific orientation based on previous experience. The position starts on 08/31/2026, and the candidate must hold a valid license to submit.
