Job Summary:
Polysomnographer position available in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This role involves performing diagnostic sleep testing, including PAP therapy titration, patient check-in, room setup, patient hookup, charting, and equipment cleaning. The technician will utilize equipment such as computerized charting systems, Natus XLTech Sleep Works, and ResMed S9 Devices. The position requires adherence to clinical procedures and safety standards within a hospital outpatient department setting.

Job Details:

• Shift: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, Sunday through Thursday.
• Schedule: Shifts are scheduled on a rotating basis, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certified as RPSGT with pediatric experience; BLS certification; minimum of 1 year sleep tech trained.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pediatric sleep testing; familiarity with modified EMR systems and clinical procedures.
• Additional Information:
  • Location in lower level of a clinic off campus from the main hospital with secured entrance and nearby parking.
  • No cafeteria services available on-site.
  • The sleep lab has 10 beds; two beds are designated for pediatric testing with a 1:1 tech-to-patient ratio for children under 3 years old.
  • All patients are tested with a 2:1 tech-patient ratio unless pediatric.
  • Limited scoring during data collection.
  • Training includes modified electronic medical record (EMR) system and one shift of orientation with another sleep tech.
  • The organization maintains a cancellation policy allowing client cancellations up to 12 hours every 13 weeks.
  • Must badge in and out at the facility.
