Description
Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (RRT) specializing in adult critical care and emergency department settings is needed for a facility located in Boston, Massachusetts. This position involves providing advanced ventilator management and critical care support within a Level 1 trauma center. The role requires flexibility to work night shifts, including every other weekend, call shifts, and holiday coverage.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Respiratory Therapist License, Respiratory Therapist Registration, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, minimum of 0 years of experience, and availability for on-call duties.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in adult critical care, emergency department, Level 1 trauma center, trauma, neuro, medical, cardiac, or surgical intensive care units. Proficiency in advanced ventilator management, including esophageal balloons, PV loop interpretation, driving pressure assessment, and PEEP optimization. Experience with ventilators such as Hamilton G5, C6, T1, MR1, Phillips EV300, and INO vent, along with familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
- Additional Information: BILH coversheet required at submission. Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays. Candidates must be separated from the facility for at least 6 months to be considered and should provide preferred interview availability upon submission. No local travelers will be accepted as candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility.
