Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Pediatric unit Charlotte, North Carolina. This position involves providing specialized respiratory care exclusively for pediatric patients at a dedicated children's hospital. The role requires flexibility in scheduling and the ability to work every other weekend, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient-centered care in a dynamic environment.
Job Details:
- Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Start Date: 09/07/2026
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); valid licensure as a Respiratory Therapist; at least 2 years of recent pediatric respiratory therapy experience (must include pediatric-only assignments); valid drivers license and insurance may be required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with pediatric ventilator equipment, including IPPV/NIPPV.
- Support Information: Respiratory leadership and specialized equipment such as ventilators will be utilized.
- Technology/Equipment: EMR system EPIC (candidate must test out of EPIC for faster onboarding).
- Department Specific Equipment: Ventilators (IPPV/NIPPV).
- Floating: RTs will not be floated to other facilities due to specialized needs.
- Orientation: Three days of onboarding covering facility and unit orientation, including computer, equipment, and facility walkthroughs, with additional days for multiple ICU experience if applicable.
- Scheduling Notes: Every other weekend rotation; approximately 75% of holidays worked.
- RTO Requests: Up to 6 days off can be approved, excluding holidays.
- Other Notes: Scrub color is royal blue; free parking available.
