Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in Ypsilanti, Michigan. This position involves providing comprehensive respiratory care to pediatric patients within a healthcare facility setting. The role requires performing both invasive and non-invasive respiratory procedures, monitoring patient responses, and collaborating with medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certificatons and Education Requirements include Respiratory Therapist (RT) registration, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in pediatric respiratory care, and valid state licensure.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pediatric care, ventilatory equipment, and chest physiotherapy is advantageous.
• Additional Information: Provides quality patient care, including intensive respiratory therapy, patient transport, and education. Performs diagnostic assessments such as chest x-rays, EKGs, and pulmonary function studies. Assists with procedures like bronchoscopy, chest tube placement, and tracheostomy care. Follows policy for laboratory testing, equipment maintenance, and documentation. Responds to emergencies according to ACLS and BLS guidelines, manages ventilatory equipment, and maintains accurate records. Ensures effective communication with medical teams and proper documentation of treatments.
