Description
Job Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist is a registered or certified professional in cardiopulmonary services responsible for delivering diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care. Based at a healthcare facility in Tucson, Arizona, this role involves assisting physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures, ventilator management, airway maintenance, and blood gas analysis. The position is for a 13-week assignment starting on August 24, 2026, working night shifts.
Job Details:
- Location: Tucson, Arizona
- Position: Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS)
- Shift: Nights, 7:30 PM 7:00 AM (3x12 hours)
- Schedule: 36 hours per week minimum
- Required Qualifications: Certification or registration as a Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care; BLS and ACLS certifications; ICU, general floors, and emergency department experience; NICU and Pediatric experience, even if minimal; valid state licensing or certification in Arizona (if applicable)
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in pediatric respiratory care
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include assisting physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures, delivery of medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas, maintaining airways, ventilator management, intubations, and blood gases. Candidate must be able to work night shifts consistently.
