Description

Job Summary:
The Ultrasound Technician (Ultrasonographer General) position is located in Winchester, Virginia. This outpatient role involves providing high-quality ultrasound services across a diverse patient population, including neonates, infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. The technician will perform general imaging ultrasound exams such as thyroid and venous extremity studies, supporting the facility's commitment to excellent patient care.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM (3x12-hour shifts), with orientation during Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM each week.
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS and ARRT (RDMS AB); 2 or more years of general ultrasound procedure experience including abdominal, OB/Gyn, renal/pelvis, and small parts; vascular procedure experience such as Doppler studies, upper/lower extremity venous, and M-Mode; outpatient setting experience preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Siemens or Acuson ultrasound equipment; use of Epic documentation systems; additional vascular and renal artery duplex capabilities.
  • Additional Information: The position involves providing ultrasound services in an outpatient setting with a daily caseload of 10-15 patients. The role requires competencies in general imaging ultrasound, including thyroid and venous extremity exams, supporting high patient satisfaction and safety standards. The facility is a regional referral center with 495 beds, serving a diverse and expanding community.
