Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer Echo (Specialty) in Ellsworth, Maine. This position involves performing echocardiographic procedures including TTE, TEE, Stress Echo, Bubble Study, and Contrast administration within an inpatient and outpatient setting. The role requires a proactive healthcare professional capable of supporting departmental functions and working within a dynamic cardiac imaging environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week; potential weekend rotation on Saturdays.
  • Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), registry as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI); minimum of 2 years of experience in echocardiography; current license or certification in line with state regulations.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Philips ultrasound equipment; familiarity with EMR systems such as Cerner; previous work in a hospital or equivalent setting.
  • Additional Information: The position requires working in a unit with Philips US equipment, supporting an environment with both inpatient and outpatient cardiology services. Orientation includes a week or less of facility and unit-specific training. The patient demographic is adult only, with no pediatric cases. No support staff duties such as reception or charge nursing are required. The role involves working within a program named SimpliFi Travel and participating in holiday work expectations at 50%. Parking is not provided for free.
