Job Summary
Eureka, California Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) Technologist. This position involves performing coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, and cardiac arrhythmia diagnostic and interventional procedures in an acute care hospital setting. The role requires a committed healthcare professional to support a dynamic team while adhering to clinical standards and safety protocols.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certified as an ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), possess a fluoroscopy permit, BLS (Basic Life Support), and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support). Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with angioplasty, cardiac stent placement, pacemaker insertion, and electrophysiology (EP) lab procedures. Knowledge of Epic charting system is preferred.
- Additional Information: Candidates must have or be willing to obtain a pending fluoroscopy permit and comply with state licensing requirements. The role involves working with adult and geriatric patients, with a daily census of approximately six patients, and may include responsibility for maintaining equipment and inventory. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities, and the assignment includes working up to four days a week with some holiday coverage required.
