Description
Job Summary:
Polysomnographer in Canton, Georgia. This full-time position involves preparing adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients for sleep disorders testing, monitoring polysomnograms, and documenting findings in accordance with facility policy. The role requires at least two years of recent experience in sleep study activities and current Basic Life Support certification.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a total of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience within the sleep disorders specialty; current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; current and unrestricted registration or certification as a Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT).
- Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated expertise in sleep disorders, sleep activity, abnormalities, movement arousals, and respirations; good written and oral communication skills; experience with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Schedule: The shift commitment is nights, with 12-hour shifts three days a week.
- Additional Information: The assignment duration is 13 weeks. Local candidates within 50 miles are not considered. The position requires working two major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Years Day) and one minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Years Eve).
