Job Summary:
X-ray Technologist in Portland This position involves operating x-ray equipment to produce diagnostic radiographs of various body parts as ordered by physicians. The role requires positioning and instructing patients prior to examinations, adjusting equipment settings such as voltage, current, and exposure time to ensure optimal imaging quality, and maintaining safety protocols throughout procedures.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 09/08/2026
- Required Qualifications: Associate's Degree in radiologic technology; American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) certification; Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) Radiologic Technologist License; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified
- Essential Functions: Performs screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation; explains procedures to patients and answers questions; prepares equipment and examination rooms; positions patients for imaging exams; monitors patients to ensure safety; produces diagnostic images; documents exam information; reports relevant findings to the physician; verifies exams on PACS; performs other related duties as assigned
