Job Summary
The organization is seeking a qualified Ultrasonographer Echo for a full-time position in Lancaster, Ohio. This role involves performing cardiovascular diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including stress echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiography, to assist physicians in patient diagnosis. The position emphasizes high-quality patient care, adherence to departmental policies, and collaborative team efforts to support the healthcare provider's mission.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Associate or Bachelors of Science degree in Vascular/Echocardiography from an accredited institution or on-the-job training with an associates degree in Allied Health; Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) registered cardiac sonographer or registry eligible; CPR certification; Zero to two years of experience as an echocardiography technician, including 2-D echo with M-Mode, spectral, and color flow doppler, transesophageal echocardiography, and stress echocardiography.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with stress echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, and advanced ultrasound techniques.
- Additional Information: Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures to locate, evaluate, and record pertinent anatomical, pathological, and functional data; records procedure data in patient charts or electronic medical records; maintains and disinfects cardiology equipment; supplies inventory management; assists with clerical duties; participates in department meetings, quality improvement activities, and student supervision; ensures patient rights and privacy are maintained in accordance with HIPAA guidelines; performs CPR as needed.
- Physical Capacity Demand: Medium work, exerting 20-50 pounds occasionally and 10-25 pounds frequently.
