Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in Durham, North Carolina. This role involves providing comprehensive respiratory care to pediatric patients, including operating ventilatory equipment, conducting diagnostic procedures, and assisting with airway management. The position is scheduled for night shifts, requiring minimal supervision and adherence to established clinical protocols to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certification as a Respiratory Therapist Registered (RRT), no minimum years of experience specified, located in the North Carolina area, and a valid professional license.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with pediatric patients and familiarity with electronic fetal heart monitor (EFM) systems is advantageous.
- Additional Information: Performs routine and emergent respiratory procedures, monitors patient responses, maintains accurate documentation, and collaborates with physicians to optimize therapy effectiveness. Responsible for equipment setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Maintains compliance with policies related to laboratory testing and patient care.
