Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer Echo in Riverhead, NY. This position involves performing intraprocedural transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) at the bedside for a community hospital with a 145-bed capacity. The role requires collaboration within a busy echo department, providing coverage seven days a week with scheduled weekday shifts. The candidate will be responsible for processing TEE probes and delivering high-quality imaging in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Location: 1300 Roanoke Ave, Riverhead, NY 11901
• Schedule: Days, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Working hours are from 07:00:00 AM to 05:00:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with every other weekend shifts (4 shifts per week).
• Required Qualifications: Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through the Certification Accreditation of Allied Health (CCI); RDCS highly preferred. 1-2 years of experience, preferably in a hospital setting. Current Navy blue scrubs.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with probe processing and intraprocedural echocardiography. Strong time management and multi-tasking skills.
• Additional Information: The echocardiography department performs approximately 10-15 echocardiograms daily, split between 2-3 technologists. The role involves adult patients only and requires expertise in bedside TTE and TEE procedures. The hospital provides uniforms in Navy blue.
