Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a healthcare facility in Humansville, Missouri. This role involves providing rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision and direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. The position emphasizes evidence-based clinical practices to support patient recovery and ongoing care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week

• Required Qualifications: Active State Licensure in Missouri; one year of PTA experience; long-term care (LTC) or skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience; PTA license; submission at posted rate; new graduates with Level II experience are welcome

• Ability to work with supervising Physical Therapist to obtain necessary durable medical equipment (DME) or supplies according to regulatory and clinical practice requirements

• Participation in meetings including patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings

• Adherence to American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and State practice acts, ethics, and code of conduct

• Ability to supervise and support students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist

• Additional Information:

  • Duties include assessing patient progress, documenting all clinical information in electronic records, and communicating effectively with the healthcare team
  • Provides consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers regarding physical disorders
  • Documents all required treatment minutes and participates in required in-services, trainings, and conferences
  • May assist with obtaining supplies and supports supervised staff as needed
