Description
Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a healthcare facility in Humansville, Missouri. This role involves providing rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision and direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. The position emphasizes evidence-based clinical practices to support patient recovery and ongoing care.

Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week

Required Qualifications: Active State Licensure in Missouri; one year of PTA experience; long-term care (LTC) or skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience; PTA license; submission at posted rate; new graduates with Level II experience are welcome

Ability to work with supervising Physical Therapist to obtain necessary durable medical equipment (DME) or supplies according to regulatory and clinical practice requirements

Participation in meetings including patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings

Adherence to American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and State practice acts, ethics, and code of conduct

Ability to supervise and support students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist

Additional Information:
- Duties include assessing patient progress, documenting all clinical information in electronic records, and communicating effectively with the healthcare team
- Provides consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers regarding physical disorders
- Documents all required treatment minutes and participates in required in-services, trainings, and conferences
- May assist with obtaining supplies and supports supervised staff as needed
