Job Summary:
A Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) position is available in a healthcare facility located in Missouri. The role involves supporting clinical interventions through evidence-based practices and providing rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment to patients with physical functioning disorders. Under the supervision and direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA will deliver a variety of procedures, assess patient progress, and communicate treatment outcomes to the supervising therapist.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active State Licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant; minimum of 1 year of PTA experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings; PTA license is required.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The PTA will provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers regarding physical disorders. Responsibilities include documenting all regulatory and clinical information in the electronic documentation system, participating in meetings such as patient care conferences, and assisting in obtaining necessary Durable Medical Equipment (DME) or supplies. The role requires adherence to the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) standards, state practice acts, and ethical guidelines. Candidates must be able to supervise and support students under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist.
