Description
Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a General Ultrasound Technologist for a healthcare facility in Saint Petersburg, FL. This position involves obtaining diagnostic sonographic images to support radiologist interpretation. The technologist will be responsible for duties related to imaging, data management, physician order reconciliation, patient transport, and result accountability. Candidates with pediatric-specific experience and certification are preferred, and candidates must meet all listed qualifications.
Job Details:
- Location: Saint Petersburg, FL
- Schedule: Rotating shifts; various schedules are available, with a typical shift time of approximately 12 hours per shift and a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications include American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), current Basic Life Support (BLS) via American Heart Association, high school diploma or equivalent, and two years of pediatric experience. Candidates must have completed at least one full travel assignment.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working at a dedicated Pediatric Hospital and/or Pediatric Board Certification (PS).
- Additional Information: Candidates should have previous employment within any capacity at healthcare facilities associated with Johns Hopkins or must have been separated from such employment for at least one year prior to applying. Verification of prior work history is required before offer.
