Job Summary
Occupational Therapist (OT), SNF (Skilled Nursing Facility), Missouri. This clinical role involves screening and evaluating patients with cognitive and activities of daily living (ADL) physical functioning disorders. The occupational therapist will develop appropriate plans of care, administer rehabilitative treatments, and monitor patient progress. The position requires adherence to regulatory standards and clinical practice guidelines, with responsibilities including patient assessment, treatment adjustments, and discharge planning.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week, beginning 09/14/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license, 1 year of occupational therapy experiencepreferred experience includes clinical work in long-term care (LTC) or rehabilitation settings. New graduates are eligible if they have completed a Level II fieldwork experience.
- Effective screen/evaluation of patients with cognitive and ADL physical functioning disorders following all regulatory and clinical practice standards.
- Utilization of standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to inform clinical interventions.
- Provision of skilled, rehabilitative, and medically necessary treatment interventions, including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and assistive device use.
- Evaluation of patient progress and adjustment of treatments in compliance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
- Documentation of clinical services, treatment minutes, and patient progress in electronic health records per institutional and regulatory standards.
- Participation in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and other required training or clinical activities.
- Supervision and support of occupational therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students when applicable.
- Adherence to the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT), American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), and State practice acts, demonstrating professionalism, ethics, and conduct.
