Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in Detroit, Michigan. This position involves providing respiratory therapy to pediatric patients as ordered by physicians, utilizing expert proficiency levels to handle complex cases and to mentor team members. The role includes performing all types of respiratory care, such as diagnostic testing, treadmills, complete pulmonary function tests, ABG machine maintenance, hemodynamics, special procedures, and electronic neonatal groupings.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts (12 hours) with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid registration as a Respiratory Therapist with proficiency in pediatric care, performing complex respiratory procedures, and mentoring others. No experience requirement beyond initial registration applies.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pediatric respiratory therapies and complex case management is advantageous.
- Additional Information: The candidate will be responsible for implementing respiratory care protocols, maintaining equipment, and supervising pediatric respiratory procedures in compliance with hospital policies and standards.
