Job Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist Registered position is located in Salem, Massachusetts. This role involves providing respiratory therapy in a busy acute care environment, with a focus on ventilator management and blood gas analysis. The position offers night shifts, with a potential rotation to day shifts as needed, and requires a dedicated professional to deliver quality care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Job Details:

• Shift Time: Nights
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with potential rotation to 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. when necessary for day shifts
• Required Qualifications: Associates or Bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy; ability to draw arterial blood gases; active Massachusetts Respiratory Therapist License; RRT certification; minimum of 2 years working in one location and 1 to 2 years as a traveler in an acute care setting; vent management experience in an acute care setting
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with PB980 ventilator and Hamilton T1 transport ventilator; proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system; experience with ventilator management and arterial blood gases
• Additional Information: The respiratory therapy team is staffed with 5 therapists during daytime, 5 during evenings, and 4 at night, supporting various units including MICU, Med/Surg, and ED. The role involves equipment use such as PB980 and Hamilton T1 ventilators. Candidates should be prepared to support a busy hospital environment with a focus on critical care skills.
