Description

Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist Inpatient in Grand Junction, Colorado. This position involves providing assessment, treatment, and education focused on independent living, community reintegration, functional cognitive retraining, upper extremity function, perceptual activities, and assistive equipment, including splinting and positioning mechanics. The role includes evaluating patients, establishing treatment goals, delivering skilled physical assessments and treatments, and supervising support staff as appropriate.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 9 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 09/07/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school; current/valid state licensure for Occupational Therapy; BLS certification from the American Heart Association; one (1) year related experience, preferably in a medical setting
  • Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Occupational Therapy; Certified Hand Therapist (CHT); Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) endorsed by the American Heart Association
  • Skills: Patient assessment, treatment planning, community reintegration, functional cognitive retraining, upper extremity function
  • Additional Skills: Perceptual activities, assistive equipment, splinting, positioning mechanics, delegation, supervision
  • Notes: The position may involve opportunities to work in acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings, with no outpatient responsibilities.
