Description
Job Summary:
Speech Language Pathologist Inpatient position in Grand Junction, Colorado. This role involves providing speech and language services to patients with communication and swallowing disorders within an inpatient setting. The clinician will develop and implement individualized care plans, perform assessments, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shift, 9 hours per day, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 09/07/2026
- Required Qualifications: Master's degree in Communication Disorders or Speech Language Pathology, current state licensure for Speech-Language Pathologist, BLS certification from the American Heart Association, 1 year of clinical experience (preferably in a medical setting)
- Preferred Qualifications: FEES training (not required)
- Certifications & Licensure: Current/valid state licensure for Speech Pathologist, BLS from AHA
- Additional Information: Service involves acute care with potential inpatient rehabilitation opportunities. Ability to complete and interpret Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBS) and Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) preferred but not required. The position requires effective communication, patient assessment, care plan implementation, and medical documentation.
