Job Summary
Mammographer for a healthcare facility. This position involves performing diagnostic and screening mammography procedures, including stereotactic biopsies and breast ultrasounds, while ensuring patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols. The role requires collaboration within an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care in a busy imaging department.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license with a compact license in hand at submission; at least 1 year of clinical experience as a mammographer; Certification in ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Breast Imaging (M* or R*), BLS (Basic Life Support); familiarity with digital mammography, stereotactic biopsies, and mammography equipment such as Hologic 3D systems.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic electronic charting system; community hospital setting; experience with digital quality assurance procedures, management/lead responsibilities, and breast self-exam education.
- Special Procedures/Unit Details: Mammography screens, diagnostic exams, stereotactic biopsies, breast ultrasounds, and management of breast imaging equipment.
- Additional Information: Candidates must be flexible to work across multiple nearby facilities and understand protocol adherence. Refusal to float between sister facilities may result in assignment termination.
