Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) - located in Milwaukee, WI. This position involves providing specialized respiratory care in a Level III Trauma Center with a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a Magnet designation, and a comprehensive stroke program. The role includes managing ventilators, assisting with airway management, and supporting pediatric and adult patient populations during night shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, from 08/31/2026 to 11/28/2026.
• Required Qualifications: BLS and ACLS certifications, valid respiratory therapist license, 1 year of experience, and willingness to accept a first-time traveler upon review.
• Preferred Qualifications: RRT or CRT credentials, additional pediatric or neonatal certification preferred.
• Skills required: Vent management, CPAP, BiPAP, nebulizer therapies, arterial line placement, assisting with intubation, vent weaning, extubation, ABGs.
• Technology/Equipment: Epic EMR, AVEA and Servo U ventilators, LPU 1200 ventilators, parapack for MRI, Hamilton transport vents.
• Orientation: At least one shift to learn facility and unit flow.
• Support within the Department: Other respiratory therapists and RNs on the floor.
• Float: Float to all units at the hospital is possible.
• Additional Information: Scrub color must be any solid, professional color with no graphics, logos, or designs. Parking is free.
• On call: No.
• Holiday Expectations: Assigned as needed.
• Approval of RTO: Up to 7 days off can be approved.
• Shift Note: The organization adheres to a fatigue policy preventing staff from working more than 60 hours weekly or five consecutive 12-hour shifts.
