Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing comprehensive respiratory care, including evaluation, treatment, patient education, and equipment management, primarily for pediatric patients. The position requires a valid New Jersey state licensure and offers an opportunity to deliver high-quality patient care in a dynamic clinical setting.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in respiratory therapy, New Jersey state licensure, and at least 1 year of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in pediatric respiratory care is highly preferred.
• Additional Information: The respiratory therapist will operate ventilatory equipment (both invasive and non-invasive), perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning, oximetry, capnography, pulmonary function studies, and assist with procedures such as bronchoscopy and tracheostomy care. The role includes monitoring patient responses, performing emergent procedures, and maintaining accurate documentation. The therapist will also ensure proper functioning and maintenance of respiratory equipment, follow all policies related to laboratory testing, and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to BLS and ACLS guidelines. Communication with physicians and shift hand-offs are essential components of the job.
