Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology Clinical (IRCL) Nurse in the Downers Grove, Illinois area. This position involves providing care for outpatient and inpatient radiology cases, supporting diagnostic imaging procedures, and participating in various bedside interventions within a Level 1 Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center. The role requires strong trauma experience, IR independence, and proficiency in procedures such as taps, port placements, neuro angiograms, and embolizations.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts from 07:00 to 17:30, with weekend call responsibilities and a total of 7-10 shifts of on-call per month.
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) certification with BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications; minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, including 2 years in Interventional Radiology or related procedure areas; experience with conscious/moderate sedation, critical care backgrounds, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and bedside procedures.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with cardiac wires and catheters, sterile technique, and transport support.
• Float: Float rotation may be required for CT support.
• Additional Information: Orientation includes a 1-week training period covering facility and unit procedures. The hospital utilizes EPIC electronic medical records with EPIC training required before patient care. The unit is equipped with advanced technology including portable C-arm, Angiojet, and Shockwave. The position involves working in a fast-paced, safety-oriented environment with a focus on trauma, IR procedures, and cardiac patient care.
