Description

Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (RT) position at a healthcare facility in Colorado Springs. This assignment is for a 13-week duration, primarily during night shifts. The role involves providing pediatric respiratory care, including ventilated patient management, in a small unit environment requiring strong teamwork and clinical competence in pediatric and neonatal settings.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-Hour Nights (6:30 PM 7:00 AM), minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certified as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Cardiopulmonary; minimum 3 years of pediatric experience, including NICU (Level III or IV) and Emergency Department experience; current licensure and certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP; valid licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT); previous travel experience required
  • Preferred Qualifications: Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty (NPS) certification
  • Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: Environment primarily focused on pediatric respiratory care, with opportunity to support up to 6 ventilated patients. Teamwork and education of less experienced staff are essential. No RTO allowed during the first 2 weeks of the assignment. Seasonal influenza vaccination required, with exemptions accepted for medical or religious reasons. Exemption request forms must be included with submission.
