Description

Job Summary:
Radiation Therapist (RTT) position available in a fast-paced healthcare environment within a facility location. This contract role spans 8 weeks, starting on 09/07/2026 and ending on 11/02/2026, requiring flexibility with start times between 0900 and 1200 hours. The role involves providing radiation therapy services with a focus on adult outpatient care, supporting complex treatments such as IMRT and stereotactic radiosurgery, with a patient census of approximately 40 patients daily.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 8-hour shifts, minimum 40 hours per week, with variable start times between 0900 and 1200 hours.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid California license in hand, minimum of 1 year of experience in radiation therapy, certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy, BLS certification, and experience with EPIC and Aria documentation systems. Candidate must have experience with Varian 21 ex/ix units, be adaptable to a fast-paced environment, and be capable of floating within the hospital based on census.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CBCT/kV/mV imaging, Eclipse (Varian), External Beam Therapy, Hodgkins Lymphoma, Kidney Cancer, Leukemia, Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, Pancreatic Cancer, Prostate Cancer with Seeds/Fiducials, Respiratory Gating, and Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS).
  • Additional Information:
    • Location requires CA license in hand and current Nursys verification (pulled within the last 2 weeks).
    • RTO (Request for Time Off) restrictions apply; all RTO must be pre-approved at the time of submission.
    • Candidates will float within the hospital based on census demands.
    • Must have experience with Varian 21 ex/ix and be able to keep pace in a fast-moving environment.
    • No previous permanent staff are allowed.
    • Modules, including Epic training (~8 hours) and additional specialty training (~4 hours), are completed pre-start and during orientation.
