Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered specializing in Pediatric Care, located in the specified area. This role involves providing high-quality, intensive respiratory care to pediatric patients, including evaluation, treatment planning, patient education, and operation of ventilatory and other respiratory equipment. The position requires a proactive approach to patient assessments and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure optimal respiratory support.
Job Details:
- Position: Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS)
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Start Date: 08/31/2026
- End Date: 11/30/2026
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in respiratory therapy, appropriate licensure, and educational credentials. No minimum years of experience specified, but a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is typical.
- Additional Information: Provides comprehensive respiratory care including ventilator management, patient assessment, procedures related to respiratory therapy, chest physiotherapy, suctioning, monitoring of oxygen and ventilation, arterial puncture, and assisting in emergency resuscitation in accordance with BLS and ACLS guidelines. Performs routine review of chest x-rays, pulmonary function tests, and assists with procedures such as bronchoscopy and chest tube placement. Maintains accurate documentation and communicates patient responses to therapy. Operations include setup, monitoring, and maintenance of ventilatory equipment, with a focus on patient safety and quality care.
