Description
Job Summary:
Pediatric Respiratory Therapist in an active healthcare setting. Responsible for providing quality and intensive respiratory care for pediatric patients, including evaluation, treatment planning, and patient education. Operates ventilatory and respiratory equipment, performs diagnostic tests, and assists with advanced respiratory procedures to support patient recovery and well-being.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Respiratory Therapist (RT) license, applicable pediatric clinical experience, ability to perform invasive and non-invasive ventilation, knowledge of cardiopulmonary procedures, proficiency in EKG and pulmonary function testing, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), high school diploma or equivalent, within the specified work location, 1 year of clinical experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working specifically with pediatric populations, certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), familiarity with hospital policies related to respiratory care, proficiency with electronic medical records
