Description
Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist Inpatient (Specialty: OT Intellectual Property) in the healthcare setting. This role involves providing therapeutic assessments and interventions to patients with physical, cognitive, developmental, or emotional challenges affecting their ability to perform daily activities. The position requires a primary focus on inpatient services, with a typical work schedule of daytime hours from Monday to Friday, with potential occasional weekend coverage.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Dayshift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field; professional licensure or certification as required; 0 years minimum experience; located within a reasonable distance to the assigned healthcare organization.
- Preferred Qualifications: 1-2 years of experience completing internship or apprenticeship programs.
- Additional Information: Conduct assessments of patients' physical, mental, and developmental abilities. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Provide patient and family education on therapeutic activities and exercises that can be performed at home. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and physical therapists to deliver comprehensive care. Maintain accurate patient records, attend staff meetings, and participate in continuing education to stay current with best practices.
