Description

Job Summary:
MRI Technologist in the Maine region. This position involves performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans in a general hospital setting with a diverse patient population. The role requires strong technical skills, the ability to work independently, and excellent communication to ensure high-quality imaging services.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 4 days per week, with two different weekly cycles: Monday through Thursday one week, and Tuesday through Friday the next, with rotation repeating. Each shift consists of 12 hours.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid state license; ARRT-MR (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Magnetic Resonance) or ARMRIT (American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists) certification; BLS (Basic Life Support); two years of MRI experience; ability to perform imaging on a variety of adult and outpatient patients; experience with IV starts and working with diverse patient types.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Philips MRI equipment (preferred but not required); previous experience with similar outpatient and acute care settings; comfort with solo work as well as working with support staff.
  • Additional Information:
    • No hospital trauma designation or vents monitored patients; no cardiac or sedation cases.
    • No weekend rotation, no on-call responsibilities, and the department is closed for major holidays.
    • Support on-site includes lead techs, managerial staff, rapid response/Code Team, RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) staff, and radiologists.
    • Patients typically receive 12-16 studies daily, mostly adults, with a variety of imaging needs including neuro, oncology, musculoskeletal, and soft tissue.
    • The department utilizes Cerner electronic medical records and Agfa PACS, with a Philips Ingenia Ambition MRI scanner.
    • Scrub color: Any solid professional color; no graphics, logos, or designs.
    • Parking is provided free of charge.
    • The position begins on 09/14/2026 and concludes on 12/12/2026.
