Description
Job Summary:
Vascular Sonographer position in a healthcare facility operating during evening shifts. This role involves performing routine general ultrasound exams, including obstetric and vascular studies, utilizing advanced GE Logiq E10 ultrasound machines across multiple rooms. The position requires a focus on vascular imaging procedures such as carotid, DVT, and ABI/TBI studies, supporting the departments clinical operations.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Wednesday through Sunday, 1500-2330, with minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification or certification in Sonography by the American Association of Radiology Technologists (ARRT), or through ARDMS as RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer), RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist), OB/GYN (Obstetric/Gynecologic Sonography); BLS certification; minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Vascular experience for carotid, DVT, ABI/TBI vascular studies is preferred.
- Additional Information: The department has six GE Logiq E10 ultrasound machines in four rooms, with Parks Medical Doppler equipment. The role involves performing all routine general examinations, including OB scans. The department operates with in-house radiologists 24/7, and no float coverage is required. Personal scrubs are to be worn; department-specific orientation will be provided. The hospital maintains a cancellation policy allowing up to four shifts canceled per 13-week assignment. The charting system used is EPIC.
