Description
Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in an acute care setting. This position involves providing respiratory care to pediatric and adult patients, performing evaluations, and adjusting care plans accordingly. The role requires collaborating within a team, utilizing electronic medical records, and working in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, every other weekend, and call as needed.
- Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit, ACLS (AHA) Certificate, BLS Certification, BLS (AHA) Certificate, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certificate, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC; minimum of 2 years of experience preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with adult intubation, proficiency in using equipment such as servo ventilators, BIPAP (V-60, Vision), Airvo, MetNeb, Neo-Tee, and extensive pediatric respiratory care experience.
- Additional Information: Must have completed EPIC training (electronic medical record) by an assigned trainer and up to three weeks of department-specific training with preceptor check-off. Floating to other units/departments may be required. The unit is a 250-bed hospital with a 12-bed ICU. Reporting to the assigned department and following the dress code of black scrubs are required.
