Description

Job Summary:
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist position located in an acute care division. This role involves scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring in cardiac catheterization procedures, utilizing advanced equipment and technology. The assignment features a rotating shift schedule with varying hours, supporting comprehensive cardiac care services.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 4-10 hour shifts with varying start times (0530-1800), total of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA); ACLS certification from AHA. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac cath lab or related setting.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with RCIS or RCES certifications; previous employment with a healthcare provider within the past 6 months if previously worked there.
  • Responsibilities: Scrub, circulate, and monitor peripheral and vascular procedures, including right and left heart catheterizations; potentially scrub devices and operate in electrophysiology (EP) cases.
  • Equipment Utilized: XIM (division of Witt, Philips charting), EPIC, Pyxis, Xcelera, Siemens and Philips fluoroscopy systems.
  • Licenses/Certifications: BLS, ACLS from AHA required. No licensure to submit or license required for application.
  • Orientation & Training: Focused on monitoring in XIM and effective scrub and circulate procedures.
  • Float: No floating to other units or departments.
  • Other Details: Bed size/number of rooms: 8 fluoroscopy rooms, 1 minimally invasive room without fluoroscopy.
