Description
Job Summary:
Polysomnographer specialty position located in a sleep laboratory. The role involves monitoring and performing sleep studies on patients, under the supervision of a physician. The candidate will be responsible for setting up patients for sleep evaluations, recording physiological data, analyzing results, and ensuring patient safety throughout the process.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM on Tuesdays and Fridays, with a total of 12 hours per shift; work every other weekend, with additional shifts possible as needed.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited School of Clinical Polysomnography, a New Mexico CPSGT or RPSGT certification, or RRT/CRT license; BLS certification; at least 1 year of sleep lab experience preferred, but first-time travelers are accepted.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cadwell sleep equipment and EMR systems such as CPSI, familiarity with sleep diagnostic procedures for adults and pediatric patients aged 3 years and older, and basic computer skills.
- Additional Information: The position involves exposure to blood and body fluids, with daily patient contact. The environment includes 4 beds within 4 rooms, with remote provider staffing. Inter-scorer reliability (ISR) assessments are conducted monthly for quality measurement.
