Job Summary:
Polysomnographer position in a healthcare setting specializing in sleep studies. This role involves performing diagnostic polysomnographic procedures, titrations, and sleep latency tests to support the assessment and treatment of patients with sleep and wake disorders. The position requires working predominantly night shifts, with responsibilities including data recording, equipment management, and ensuring accurate documentation for physician review.

  • Shift Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, primarily Sunday through Tuesday, with some variation depending on clinical needs
  • Schedule: 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: BLS (AHA), registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) via BRPT or registration from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM); ND state license; at least 2 years of sleep study experience; minimum of 2 years sleep study experience; willing to wait for license submission
  • Certification: BLS (AHA), RPSGT via BRPT; Min Experience Required: 2 years
  • Equipment Used: Computerized EPIC charting, natus software for sleep studies
  • Department Capacity: 10 adult beds
  • Dress Code: Dark gray scrubs
  • Shift Notes: Night shift primarily Sunday through Tuesday, with potential variation; weekend and major holiday coverage as specified, except major holidays when the facility is closed
  • Floating: Floating to other units or departments may be required
  • Location Requirements: Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility preferred; candidates must possess or obtain applicable licensure and certification prior to start
  • Cancellation Policy: Up to 36 hours' notice may be provided for shift call-offs during the assignment, without penalty
