Job Summary
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist in the specialty of Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist, located in the designated healthcare organization. This position involves supporting diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cath lab environment, including angioplasty, stent placement, and other endovascular interventions. The role is integral to ensuring accurate patient monitoring, procedural success, and adherence to safety protocols.
Job Details
- Certifications: ARRT (Radiologic Technologist), BLS (Basic Life Support), CCI (Cardiac Credentialing International) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Interventional Specialist), Kansas license if ARRT, and in-hand certification required.
- Education Requirements: Relevant healthcare certifications or licenses as specified.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cath lab setting; 1 year of clinical experience required.
- Location Requirement: Kansas license if ARRT.
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Responsibilities include accessing/managing ports, accurate monitoring, angioplasty, cardiac ablation, stent placement, carotid stenting, catheter/drain exchange, central venous access, chest tube placement, cystoscopy, dialysis graft interventions, embolization, endovascular interventions, and various cardiac procedures such as pacemaker insertions and heart catheterizations.
- Additional clinical skills preferred include hemodynamic monitoring and dialysis fistula management.
- Candidates must have the ability to float to related units as needed and be prepared for brief orientation on assigned units.
- Submittals require a valid Kansas or Compact RN license, with optional valid Allied license if applicable.
