Job Summary
Xray Technologist in the Radiology department at a healthcare facility. This rotation involves working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on general X-ray imaging, including ER, ICU, inpatient, outpatient, OR, and Fluoroscopy procedures. The position requires independence and proficiency in DR skills and some OR experience, with the ability to assist in patient transfers alongside CT technologists. The schedule includes 7.5-hour shifts, primarily Monday through Friday, with rotating Sunday night call.

Job Details

• Schedule: 7.5-hour shifts, Monday-Friday, with rotating call on Sunday nights, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM during the day shift; flexible schedule with requested time off permitted.
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association; Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT - Radiation Therapist); Kansas Licensure; a minimum of 1 year of experience as an X-ray technologist; ability to work independently; experience with general ER, ICU, inpatient, OR, and Fluoroscopy imaging.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with DR imaging, some OR experience, and proficiency in using EMR (Epic) and PACS (Synapse Fugi).
• Work Environment: The department has 2 X-ray rooms, 2 portable units, and 3 C-arm machines. Responsibilities include imaging in outpatient, ER, ICU, inpatient, OR, and Fluoro settings, sometimes after hours or for late surgeries.
• Additional Information: Travelers are required to submit a radiology badge. The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for shorter terms. The in-house radiologist is available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with after-hours on-call coverage by the radiologist. The department does not utilize Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA).
