Description
Job Summary
Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Outpatient in a medical facility. This role involves providing speech therapy services to patients with conditions such as stroke, pneumonia, and sepsis across acute inpatient and rehab units. The position includes working in ICU, acute tower, and rehab settings, with a consistent schedule of ten-hour days.
Job Details
- Shift: 10-hour days
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 0730-1800, with weekend coverage required; schedule may vary for vacation coverage
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours
- Start Date: 09/14/2026
- End Date: 12/14/2026
- Required Qualifications: BLS certification, CCC-SLP certification, minimum 1 year of experience in acute care, competence in videofluoroscopic swallow study (VFSS), and proficiency in EMR systems (EPIC)
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in rehab units and flexibility for first-time travelers
- Additional Information: Staff members work closely with a manager and rehab aides and may float to a nearby medical center as needed. Department orientation typically lasts 2-3 days. Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered.
