Description

Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in a hospital setting. This role involves providing respiratory care to a diverse patient population, including neonates, pediatrics, and adults, across various inpatient units. The position offers daily exposure to different levels of patient care, emphasizing teamwork, communication, and adaptability.

Job Details:

  • Location: Not specified
  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, from 09/14/2026 to 12/14/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit, certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA), and Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). No minimum years of experience required, but at least 1 year of experience is preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EKGs, bedside bronchs, and bedside spirometry. Prior experience in hospitalist or intensivist settings is valuable.
  • Experience or 'Must have' skills: EKGs, bedside bronchs, bedside spirometry
  • Additional Information: Inpatient role covering all hospital areas and floors. Lead Therapist available on each shift. Equipment includes Drager, Servo I, Carefusion ventilators, Vision, V60, V30, Respironics S/T Bipaps, and Airvo2 high-flow devices. Floating to different hospital areas may be required. Orientation consists of 3 shifts, with a focus on teamwork, time management, flexibility, and willingness to learn. Floating to different areas throughout the hospital is part of the role. Candidates must not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with commonSpirit, including CHI and Dignity.
