Job Summary
Clinical Dietitian Dietitian Day Shift Del Sol Medical Center
This contract position involves providing nutritional care and support within a high-volume medical-surgical unit. The ideal candidate will have a registered dietitian (RD) certification and a licensed dietitian (LD) license in the state of Texas, with a focus on critical care experience preferred. The role includes collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support patient nutrition plans, performing nutrition-focused physical exams, and utilizing innovative communication tools to deliver timely recommendations. The assignment spans approximately three months, with an immediate start date.
Job Details
- Schedule: Dayshift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RD (Registered Dietitian) certification, licensed dietitian (LD) in Texas, no minimum experience required, includes education and certification requirements, and specific state licensing
- Preferred Qualifications: Critical care experience, NICU experience is a plus
- Additional Information:
- Unit has 350 beds with an average patient workload of 10-15 patients daily
- The department includes 4 full-time registered dietitians, with 2 positions currently open
- Communication tools include iPhones for team coordination
- Dietitian support includes order-writing privileges for diet modifications once the initial order is placed by a provider
- Dress code requires olive green (moss) scrubs from FIGS
- Shift hours from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM; assignment duration from 09/14/2026 to 12/14/2026
