Job Summary

Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) Night Shift Location. This 13-week assignment is designed for experienced respiratory therapy professionals providing pediatric, adult, and neonatal respiratory care. The role involves working with a multidisciplinary team to deliver a wide range of respiratory therapies, including NIV, high flow, nebulization, and nitric oxide, utilizing advanced ventilators such as Draeger Ventilators, Servo-I, and Jet ventilators. The position requires flexibility to float within scope across NICU, PICU, and adult ICU units and expects engagement in high-acuity patient care.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certification as a Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. A minimum of 2 years of recent Level 3 or 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) or Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience is required. Candidates must hold a valid compact license in hand at the time of submission. No experience requirement specified beyond the positions focus.
  • Preferred Qualifications: NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), experience with Puritan Bennett, Draeger, Servo I ventilators, and neonatal ventilators preferred.
  • Additional Information: The facility is a Level II Trauma hospital with 407 beds. It offers comprehensive pediatric and adult critical care, advanced trauma services, and open-heart surgeries. RTs treat patients with diverse therapies including NIV, high flow, nebulizers, CPT, nitric oxide, and specific ventilator management. The role involves working with advanced respiratory equipment and providing trauma-related respiratory support. All scheduling and specific time-off requests must be included at submission.
