Description

Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer General in a healthcare setting located in a clinical or outpatient environment. This position involves performing ultrasound procedures to aid in diagnosing a variety of medical conditions. The role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of producing high-quality sonograms and communicating findings effectively.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a specialized training program in Ultrasonic Technology or on-the-job training with a registered sonographer preferred; one year of ultrasound experience in a hospital, clinic, or physician's office preferred; knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound safety protocols; Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification required upon hire or transfer; registration in OB/GYN with RDMS within one year of hire or transfer; meets the American Heart Association standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years
  • Preferred Qualifications: None specified
  • Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: This role involves operating ultrasound equipment, recognizing normal and abnormal features, troubleshooting equipment issues, and adhering to safety protocols.
