Description
Job Summary:
Registered Electroencephalography (EEG) Technologist position available in a healthcare facility located approximately 45 minutes from a major city. The role involves performing electroencephalogram (EEG) testing on a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatric patients, with duties including electrode placement, patient prepping, recording, pattern recognition, and head wrapping for continuous EEG. The position offers night shifts with a schedule that includes weekend rotations and requires working during holidays when they fall on scheduled workdays.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certification as an EEG Technologist (or grandfathered based on experience), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Nihon Kohden software; neonatal experience; electrode placement, patient prepping, recording, pattern recognition, head wrapping, and continuous EEG.
- Float: Float to Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to perform tests.
- Other Support on the Unit: Other EEG technicians are available, RRT/Code Team, EEG supervisor, public safety officer.
- Charting System: Epic (preferred), Nihon Kohden software experience required.
- Orientation: One shift of orientation on the unit.
- Holiday Expectations: Work if the holiday falls on scheduled workday.
- Additional Notes: Scrub color is Caribbean Blue, free parking is available.
