Description

Job Summary:
Pharmacist Inpatient (Specialty: Pharmacist Inpatient) located in the healthcare provider's facility. This position involves verifying medication orders, overseeing compounding personnel, and escalating operational issues as needed. The role requires working night shifts with a schedule of seven days on, seven days off, totaling 70 hours bi-weekly.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, Monday through Sunday with 12-hour night shifts from 9 PM to 7 AM. The position requires working 70 hours bi-weekly, with one week consisting of 40 hours Monday through Saturday and 20 hours of overtime, and the following week 10 hours on Sunday. Minimum hours per week are 36.0.
  • Required Qualifications: Must be a licensed Pharmacist registered with the state of Massachusetts. Must have current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system and Pyxis automatic dispensing cabinet is required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: 2-3 years of hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.
  • Additional Information: Candidate must verify medication orders, oversee compounding personnel, and escalate operational issues to the manager on-call if needed. Equipment utilized includes Pak-Edge software and machinery for unit dosing medications. Candidates must provide two recent managerial or supervisory references in a matching specialty and possess a skills checklist matching the specialty. Drivers licenses with matching address and demographics are required. Flu vaccination during flu season is mandatory. RTO (Request for Time Off) must be included at the time of submission; it will not be guaranteed after confirmation.
