Description

Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position in a pediatric intensive care unit located in a healthcare facility. This role involves managing respiratory care for critically ill children in PICU and NICU units, including vent management, intubations, extubations, and treatments. The position offers a 12-hour night shift schedule with a guaranteed minimum of 36 hours per week, beginning on 09/07/2026 and ending on 12/05/2026.

Job Details:

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 1830 to 0700, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Wisconsin license and NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification. Certifications required include American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). Minimum education is an Associate Degree or Certificate, with a preference for a Bachelor's Degree. Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience in pediatric critical care or NICU.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree.
Additional Information: The role requires experience with ventilators such as Servo I and Servo u, LTVs, Astral, Trilogy, oscillators, tracheostomy patients, and invasive/non-invasive ventilation modalities including CPAP, BiPAP, RAM cannula, NAVA, and PEP. Candidates will be working in a 24-bed pediatric cardiac ICU, peds medical ICU, pediatric surgical ICU, and a 70-bed level IV NICU. Manage respiratory care, vent management, intubations, extubations, suctioning, and treatments. The facility prefers clean-shaven appearance due to equipment requirements and mandates flu vaccination. Candidates should possess excellent clinical skills with the ability to function efficiently across multiple pediatric units.
