Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position is located in an acute care setting. The role involves providing comprehensive respiratory care to pediatric patients, including assessment, treatment planning, and execution of physician-prescribed therapies. The therapist operates ventilatory equipment, performs diagnostic procedures, and supports patient education. This position requires the delivery of quality patient care in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shift hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid respiratory therapist license, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and a minimum of 0 years of experience in respiratory therapy.
• Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric-specific respiratory care experience and familiarity with pediatric ventilatory equipment and procedures.
• Additional Information: The respiratory therapist will evaluate patient responses, operate ventilatory and airway devices, perform diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function studies and EKGs, and assist with invasive procedures like bronchoscopy and chest tube placement. The role includes maintaining accurate documentation and communicating effectively with the healthcare team.
